I can't believe one year ago today, I was lying in bed, hungry because I couldn't eat due to my impending c-section, and you were lodged in my ribs, vigorously kicking my insides. I laid on my left side, as I did many nights, but this night, I was anxiously waiting for the morning, when your Dada and I would finally get to meet you. Boy, we didn't know what we were in for. From the time I woke up to the time you were born, you kicked and squirmed and wiggled. ALL MORNING. Mama's not kidding. With all the wiggling around, you some how got stuck. It took a lot of time and effort to get you out. I'm guessing you were nice and cozy. Luckily for your Mama, Dr. Einhaus got you out, because I don't think you'd fit anymore.
I have to admit, when we first found out we were having you, I cried a lot. Your Dada was super excited, but your Mama was super worried. But the further we went along, the better everything became. You grew and kicked and demanded cereal and lemon scented everything. Your brothers were oblivious to your very existence, but when you were born, they were in love. You have been the happiest, most joyful baby. Nothing gets you down, unless you're hungry. And when you want to eat, watch out. I can't imagine life with out you, Sam. You are very special. Stay happy little man, and always know that your Mama and Dada love you very much. Happy Birthday!!!
