Our Attempt at a Christmas Picture

Chris thought I was crazy, but for our Christmas card, I wanted a picture of all four boys sitting by the tree. How cute would that be? Unfortunately, it didn't work because they kept pulling off the ornaments. So, how about a picture on the sofa? Turn on some Yo Gabba Gabba, and it'll be a piece of cake. What was I thinking!!!! We have three toddlers and an infant. It was chaos! It took a few hours, bubbles, cookies, a laundry basket, a crib and finally a big green blanket. Oh, and two frustrated and exhausted parents. Here are some of the "outtakes"...

We took several pictures and finally narrowed it down to the "best" one. That was the easy part. It's pretty darn cute, even if it isn't a "perfect" posed picture. They'll be here next week. Happy Holidays!

Toddler Beds Here We Come...or Maybe Not

Where do I begin? After many, many discussions, we decided to get the boys toddler beds. Were we crazy...YES. At the time it seemed like a good idea. They're big boys now, and what do big boys need...big boy beds. Chris found some nice beds at Toys R Us. Easy to assemble, no, but they're really cute. Look how cute Ben is in his big boy bed.

The first night, the boys went straight to bed and fell fast asleep. We were amazed! How could this be? We stayed up for hours waiting for the chaos to begin. Nothing. The next morning, no problems. They stayed in their beds until Chris got them up. Naptime, no sweat, they went right to sleep. We were waiting for the ball to drop, and it did. Let just say there was a lot of jumping on beds and running around the room, in the dark no less, and it took 2 hours to get them to sleep.

The next day we immediately began putting their cribs together, but found out they had been recalled. So, the good news is that we got brand new cribs. YEAH! Ours were pretty disgusting. We can't complain about that, but I think we'll keep them in their cribs for a few more years. Let's hope they don't figure out how to climb out.

My Babies are TWO!!!!

My sweet little boys are two! Where does the time go? TWO!!! I can't believe it! Look how much they've grown in just one year...
Adam Christopher

Jacob Lee

Benjamin Richard

I promise to post updates soon. It's getting harder to keep up! I get distracted very easily these days. Hmm...wonder why? I'm guessing it's these guys.

The boys had another awesome birthday. They had breakfast in bed (a Bible family tradition), then played with their trains while we waited for Grandma P., then it was off to Toys R Us. The boys got to pick out one toy each. Adam chose a jack-in-the-box, Ben got a Wonderpets toy, and Jacob got a tub of dinosaurs. Most of the toy picks made sense...Jacob loves animals (as I've mentioned in previous posts), Ben loves TV (not a good thing, I know), but Adam and the jack-in-the-box. I don't know where that came from, but he wouldn't even share it, and he's pretty good with sharing. Next we had Chick-Fil-A, a nap, playtime with Daddy and their new toys, then IHOP, where we met up with Grandma and Grandpa B. LOVE THAT IHOP! They sang to the boys, and even brought out sundaes. How cool is that!

Baby Sam must be dreaming of ice cream sundaes. YUM! You'll get IHOP on your birthday too big guy!

The boys birthday party was last Saturday. In attendance were: Great-Grandma & Grandpa B., Great-Grandma & Grandpa J., Great-Grandma & Grandpa P., Grandma P., Grandma & Grandpa B., Great-Aunt Sharon, Great-Aunt Jeanie, Great-Aunt Marsha, Aunt Jen, Uncle Jeff, cousin Logan, Aunt Connie, cousin Kyliah, cousin Cassie, her boyfriend Cam, our friends Brandon, Lindsay, Adeline, Tabitha and Ella, Mommy, Daddy and Baby Sam. Oh...and lets not forget Mr. Monkey. It was nice to have all the grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends there. My little monkeys had a monkey themed birthday party. Unlike last years decorations dilemma, this year I had plenty of monkey party decor to choose from. And I had lots of ideas, but I didn't make half the stuff I wanted (monkey place mats, masks, a pinata). Oh well, it was still a lot of fun. Grandma B. made three delicious, super cute monkey cakes (one yellow, one chocolate and one banana). Thank you to all our friends and family for sharing this special day with us.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ADAM, JACOB & BEN! MOMMY AND DADDY LOVE YOU VERY MUCH!!! XO XO!
